Yescarta

Yescarta is used to treat relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma after two or more prior therapies. It may also be prescribed for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma. This therapy targets CD19-positive cancer cells using a patient’s own immune cells.

After infusion, axicabtagene ciloleucel works by reprogramming the patient’s T-cells to recognize and attack cancer cells. Common effects include flu-like symptoms, fever, and fatigue as the immune system responds. Some patients may experience chills or low blood pressure during administration.
