Zoloft

Zoloft (sertraline) is an oral antidepressant medication used to address mood disorders like depression and anxiety. It belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class, helping regulate serotonin levels in the brain.

Zoloft is commonly prescribed to help manage symptoms of depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and social anxiety disorder. It is also used for premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) to reduce mood swings and irritability. Sertraline works by restoring balance to serotonin, a natural chemical in the brain that influences mood.

Many users report gradual improvements in mood, energy levels, and overall outlook over several weeks of consistent use. Some individuals may experience mild side effects like nausea, drowsiness, or changes in appetite when first starting the medication. These effects often lessen as the body adjusts to the treatment.
