Xeomin

Xeomin is a purified botulinum toxin type A used to temporarily relax facial muscles and reduce moderate to severe wrinkles. It is also indicated for certain medical conditions involving muscle overactivity. This product is administered by healthcare professionals only.

Xeomin is primarily used to smooth moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines by temporarily reducing muscle activity. It is also prescribed for medical conditions such as cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, and chronic sialorrhea. The product works by blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles.

Users may notice a gradual reduction in muscle tension within 2–7 days after treatment. Effects typically last 3–6 months, after which muscle activity gradually returns. Results vary by individual and treatment area. Mild swelling or redness at the injection site may occur temporarily.

Xeomin should only be administered by a licensed healthcare professional experienced in its use. Patients with neuromuscular disorders or infections at the injection site should avoid treatment. Inform your provider of all medications and medical history before use. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for 24 hours.

Xeomin may interact with medications that affect neuromuscular transmission, such as muscle relaxants or aminoglycoside antibiotics. Alcohol and other substances that increase bleeding risk should be avoided before and after treatment. Always disclose all medications and supplements to your healthcare provider.
