Xaloptic Free (latanoprost) is an eye drop solution used to treat high pressure inside the eye, often associated with glaucoma or ocular hypertension. This generic formulation helps maintain eye health by reducing fluid buildup. Suitable for adults and some pediatric patients under guidance.

Xaloptic Free is primarily used to lower elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, the fluid inside the eye, to help prevent vision loss. This medication is often prescribed when other treatments are not suitable or effective.

After application, Xaloptic Free may cause a gradual change in eye color, particularly in individuals with mixed eye colors, due to increased pigmentation. Some users report temporary blurred vision or a mild stinging sensation immediately after use. These effects are generally mild and diminish over time.

Store Xaloptic Free in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to reduce the risk of infection. Discard the bottle 28 days after opening for hygiene.

Xaloptic Free may interact with other eye medications, so inform your healthcare provider about all treatments you are using. While specific interactions are rare, combining it with prostaglandin analogs could theoretically enhance effects. Always follow medical advice when using multiple eye drops.
