Xalacom

Xalacom combines timolol maleate and latanoprost to support eye pressure management. This prescription eye drop is used to treat high eye pressure in conditions like glaucoma. It helps maintain healthy vision by reducing fluid buildup in the eye.

Xalacom is prescribed to lower elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It combines two active ingredients to reduce fluid production and improve drainage in the eye. This dual-action approach helps prevent optic nerve damage and vision loss over time.

After application, Xalacom may temporarily cause mild eye discomfort, redness, or a slight stinging sensation. Some users notice gradual darkening of the iris or eyelid skin, which can be permanent. Blurred vision or sensitivity to light may occur shortly after use but typically resolves quickly.

Store Xalacom in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and avoid touching the dropper tip to surfaces to prevent contamination. Discard any remaining solution after the expiration date or if the liquid appears discolored or cloudy.

Concurrent use with other eye drops should be spaced by at least 5 minutes to prevent dilution. Systemic beta-blockers may enhance the effects of timolol, potentially increasing side effects. Alcohol and certain medications may intensify dizziness or drowsiness when combined with this product.
