Vumerity

Vumerity (diroximel fumarate) is an oral medication used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis. This disease-modifying therapy helps reduce inflammation and slow disease progression. It is designed for convenient twice-daily dosing with a favorable gastrointestinal tolerability profile.

Vumerity is prescribed to reduce the frequency of relapses and delay physical disability progression in adults with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). It is also used for clinically isolated syndrome and active secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. The active ingredient, diroximel fumarate, converts to monomethyl fumarate in the body to modulate immune response.

Users may experience improved symptom control and fewer disease activity signs over time. Common early effects include flushing or warmth, which often lessen with continued use. The medication works gradually to support long-term neurological stability.
