Vizilatan (Latanoprost) is an ophthalmic solution prescribed for reducing elevated eye pressure, often associated with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. This prostaglandin analog helps maintain healthy fluid levels in the eye. Suitable for adults and children under medical supervision.

Vizilatan is primarily used to lower intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, the fluid inside the eye, to reduce pressure. This medication is often prescribed when other treatments are ineffective or unsuitable. It may also be used off-label for other eye conditions as directed by a healthcare provider.

Vizilatan typically begins to lower eye pressure within a few hours of application, with peak effects observed after 12 hours. Users may notice gradual changes in eye color due to increased pigmentation, particularly in light-colored irises. Some individuals report temporary blurred vision or mild eye discomfort immediately after use.

Store Vizilatan at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination. Discard the bottle 28 days after opening, even if some solution remains. Do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy.

Vizilatan may interact with other eye drops or medications that affect eye pressure. Combining it with prostaglandin analogs or corticosteroids could enhance or reduce its effects. Alcohol and certain systemic medications may also influence eye pressure. Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications and supplements you are using.
