Vizilatan

Vizilatan (Latanoprost) is an eye drop medication used to treat high pressure inside the eye, including conditions like glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It helps maintain eye health by reducing fluid buildup. This medication is applied directly to the affected eye as prescribed.

Vizilatan is primarily used to lower intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of fluid from the eye, which helps prevent vision loss. This medication is not a cure but may slow the progression of eye conditions when used as directed.

After application, Vizilatan may cause a temporary mild stinging or burning sensation in the eye. Some users report slight redness or a feeling of something in the eye. These effects are usually brief and do not indicate a serious issue in most cases.

Store Vizilatan at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination. Discard the bottle after the recommended duration, even if some solution remains.

Vizilatan may interact with other eye drops or medications containing thiomersal. If using multiple eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes between applications to avoid dilution or washing out. Consult a healthcare provider before combining with other ocular treatments.
