Vizilatan (Latanoprost) is primarily used to lower intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, the fluid inside the eye, which helps prevent vision loss. This medication is not a cure but may slow the progression of eye conditions when used as directed.

After application, Vizilatan may cause a gradual change in eye color, with the iris becoming darker over time. Some users notice increased eyelash growth or mild eye redness. These effects are generally temporary and vary by individual. Blurred vision or mild stinging may occur shortly after use.

Store Vizilatan in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to reduce infection risk. Discard any remaining solution after the expiration date printed on the package.

Vizilatan may interact with other eye medications, especially those containing thimerosal, which can cause precipitation. Using multiple eye drops should be spaced at least 5 minutes apart to avoid dilution effects.
