Vivotif

Vivotif is an oral typhoid vaccine containing the live, attenuated Salmonella Typhi strain Ty21a. It helps protect against typhoid fever caused by Salmonella Typhi bacteria. Suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and older. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Vivotif is used to prevent typhoid fever, a serious bacterial infection spread through contaminated food and water. Vivotif may interact with certain antibiotics, particularly those that affect live bacterial vaccines, such as sulfonamides or broad-spectrum antibiotics. Avoid taking Vivotif within 72 hours of completing a course of antibiotics. It is also advisable to avoid alcohol for 48 hours before and after vaccination. Always inform your healthcare provider about any medications or supplements you are taking.
