Vaxigrip is an inactivated influenza vaccine designed to protect against multiple flu strains, including H1N1 and B/Michigan. This seasonal vaccine helps reduce flu-related illness and complications. Vaxigrip is used to provide active immunization against influenza caused by specific virus strains. It helps reduce the risk of flu-related hospitalizations and severe outcomes. The vaccine is updated annually to match circulating flu viruses. It is commonly recommended for individuals aged 6 months and older.

After vaccination, the body develops an immune response to protect against targeted flu strains. Some may experience mild soreness at the injection site or low-grade fever. These effects typically resolve within a few days. The vaccine does not cause the flu but may produce temporary flu-like symptoms.

Store Vaxigrip refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C (35°F and 46°F) and protect from light. Do not freeze. Discard if the vaccine has been frozen or exposed to high temperatures. Inform your healthcare provider of any allergies, especially to eggs or previous flu vaccines.

Vaxigrip may interact with immunosuppressive therapies, reducing its effectiveness. Avoid receiving other vaccines within 14 days unless directed by a doctor. Blood thinners or anticoagulants may increase bruising at the injection site. Always disclose all medications and conditions to your healthcare provider before vaccination.
