Tritace

Tritace (Ramipril) is an ACE inhibitor prescribed for high blood pressure and heart failure. This oral medication helps manage cardiovascular conditions effectively. It is widely used in the EU for hypertension management.

Ramipril, sold as Tritace, is commonly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes. It is also prescribed for heart failure to improve survival and decrease hospitalizations. Patients with diabetes may use it to protect kidney function. This medication works by relaxing blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.

Ramipril may cause a dry cough in some users, which is usually mild. Other common effects include dizziness, especially when standing up quickly, and mild fatigue. Some people experience a temporary change in taste or mild stomach discomfort. These effects often lessen as the body adjusts to the medication.

Store Tritace at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep it in its original packaging until ready to use. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or the medication appears discolored. Always check the expiration date before use. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for the next dose.

Ramipril can interact with diuretics, potassium supplements, and other blood pressure medications, potentially causing low blood pressure. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen may reduce its effectiveness. Alcohol can increase dizziness or lightheadedness. Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications and supplements you are taking.
