Travoprost, the active ingredient in Traglasin, is primarily used to lower high pressure inside the eye, which can damage the optic nerve over time. It is commonly prescribed for open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension when other treatments are ineffective. The medication works by increasing fluid outflow from the eye, helping to prevent vision loss. It is not a cure but helps manage symptoms long-term.

Users of Traglasin may notice gradual changes in eye color due to increased pigmentation, a common effect with prostaglandin analogs. Some individuals report temporary blurred vision or mild eye discomfort after application. These effects are usually mild and tend to lessen over time as the body adjusts to the medication.
