Ticovac is used to prevent tick-borne encephalitis, a viral infection transmitted by ticks in endemic areas. It is recommended for individuals planning to visit or live in regions where TBE is common, such as parts of Europe and Asia. The vaccine helps the immune system recognize and fight the TBE virus. It is also used for those with occupational exposure, like forestry workers.

After vaccination, the body begins building immunity against the TBE virus. Common effects include mild pain or redness at the injection site. Some may experience mild fatigue, headache, or low-grade fever. These effects are typically temporary and indicate the immune system is responding to the vaccine.

Ticovac should be stored refrigerated and protected from light. It is not recommended for individuals with a known allergy to any component of the vaccine.
