Taptiqom

Taptiqom combines timolol maleate and tafluprost for ocular use in adults. This prescription eye drop helps manage intraocular pressure associated with glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It is designed for once-daily application to support eye health and reduce pressure effectively.

Taptiqom is used to lower elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The combination of timolol maleate and tafluprost works by reducing fluid production in the eye and improving drainage. This helps prevent optic nerve damage and vision loss over time. It is suitable for adults who require multiple therapies to control eye pressure.

After application, Taptiqom may cause a temporary mild stinging or burning sensation in the eye. Some users notice slight redness or blurred vision shortly after use, which usually resolves quickly. These effects are common with eye drops and do not typically indicate a serious issue. Consistent use as directed helps maintain steady eye pressure control.

Store Taptiqom in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to reduce infection risk. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.

Taptiqom may interact with other eye medications, especially those containing prostaglandins or beta-blockers. Using multiple eye drops should be spaced at least 5 minutes apart to avoid washout. Caution is advised when combining with systemic beta-blockers, as additive effects on heart rate or blood pressure may occur. Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are using.
