Taflotan

Taflotan is primarily used to lower elevated intraocular pressure in conditions like open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye, which helps prevent optic nerve damage. Patients often use it when other treatments are ineffective or as part of a first-line therapy plan.

Taflotan may cause gradual changes to eye color, including darkening of the iris, especially in mixed-color eyes. Some users notice increased eyelash growth or slight redness in the eyes. These effects are generally mild and occur over time with regular use.

Taflotan should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination. Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Discard any unused solution after opening the bottle as directed.

No significant drug interactions are widely reported with Taflotan, but patients using other eye medications should space applications by at least 5 minutes.
