Фенилефрин Вижън (Phenylephrine Hydrochloride) is an ocular solution used for pupil dilation and eye redness relief. This EU-manufactured eye drop provides temporary vasoconstriction for diagnostic and cosmetic purposes. Phenylephrine eye drops help reduce redness and widen pupils during eye exams.

Phenylephrine hydrochloride eye drops are primarily used to dilate the pupil during eye examinations or before certain eye surgeries. They also help reduce eye redness by constricting blood vessels in the eye. This makes them useful for temporary relief of redness caused by minor eye irritation. Phenylephrine eye drops are commonly used before procedures like fundus photography or tonometry.

When applied, phenylephrine eye drops typically cause the pupil to widen within minutes, which may lead to temporary sensitivity to light. Users often experience a brief stinging or burning sensation upon application. Some may notice mild blurring of vision that resolves as the effects wear off. These effects are generally short-lived and part of the intended action.

Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to reduce infection risk. Do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.

No significant drug interactions are reported with phenylephrine eye drops when used as directed. However, using other eye medications should be spaced at least 5–10 minutes apart. Caution is advised when using with medications that affect blood pressure, as systemic absorption may occur. Always inform your healthcare provider about all eye drops you are using.
