Flurbiprofen sodium dihydrate is an ocular nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce eye inflammation and pain after surgery. This clear solution supports post-operative comfort and is suitable for adults and children.

Flurbiprofen sodium dihydrate eye drops are primarily used to relieve eye inflammation and discomfort following cataract surgery or other ocular procedures. It may also help manage symptoms associated with seasonal allergic conjunctivitis by reducing swelling and irritation in the eye.

After application, flurbiprofen sodium dihydrate works locally to reduce inflammation in the eye’s tissues. Users often report reduced redness, swelling, and pain within minutes, with effects lasting several hours. Temporary stinging or blurred vision may occur immediately after instillation.

Keep the container tightly closed and avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination. Do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. Store at room temperature away from direct light and heat. Discard any unused solution after the recommended duration.

No significant drug interactions are reported with topical ocular use. However, concurrent use of other eye medications should be spaced by at least 5 minutes to prevent dilution. Systemic NSAIDs or blood thinners may increase the risk of bleeding when used with flurbiprofen sodium dihydrate.
